According to the Public Relations Office of the Payam Special Economic Zone and International Airport, Mohammadreza Abbasi added that these booklets are issued with the aim of identifying, supervising, and organizing the workforce, facilitating the attraction and establishment of foreign and multinational companies, and providing advantages for foreign investors to employ foreign workers in the Payam Special Economic Zone.He stated that since the beginning of 2024, twenty applications for the issuance of work permit booklets have been submitted to the Labor and Employment Services Unit of the Payam Special Economic Zone. Of these, five work permit booklets have been issued for the employment and investment of foreign nationals of various nationalities in this zone.Abbasi pointed out that the employment of foreign nationals is addressed in Chapter Six of the Employment Regulations for Human Resources, Insurance, and Social Security in the Free Trade-Industrial Zones of the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to Article (42) of these regulations, "The employment permit for foreign nationals shall be issued in compliance with the limit specified in Article (41) of the aforementioned regulations (a maximum of 10 percent of the total workforce in the zone) based on the determination and request of the Zone Organization and by the Labor and Employment Services Unit in the zone."He further emphasized the process of issuing work permits for foreign nationals in the Payam Special Economic Zone, stating that applicants must visit the Labor and Employment Services Unit located in the zone to complete the necessary paperwork for foreign nationals.
